Aputure Light Dome 150 diffuser hire. This Aputure 32 sided Softbox Light Dome 150 measures 5′ and is an excellent choice for portraits, headshots, interviews, fashion and more. This is a very large light source with a true wraparound quality that becomes more pronounced as you get closer to your subject. The softbox comes with 1.5 and 2.5 stop diffusers, as well as a removable inner diffuser to prevent hot spotting.

The Aputure Light Dome II is a spherical softbox that transforms the light and produces a softer glow instead of shining the light directly on the subject.

5 new light modifiers from Aputure have just been released following their announcement and demonstration at NAB 2018. The modifiers are intended for use with the popular Lightstorm and Amaran LED light lines. Three of them are updated versions of the popular Lightdome and EZ Box softboxes.

Aputure's Lightdome softboxes have become well known thanks to the popularity of the lights they are designed for, the Aputure COB120d or the Aputure COB300d. Being able to be attached to the lights via the now standardised Bowens photo mount, they allowed for modular use and portability with a rod system that could be easily removed and stored after use. Now, the updated versions significantly improve the possibilities.

Both the 34.8-inch (88.5 cm) Lightdome II and the 21.5-inch (54.5 cm) diameter Lightdome Mini II now incorporate Aputure's new shotgun construction, which claims that the softboxes can be assembled in a couple of seconds. This replaces the somewhat complicated design of previous versions. In addition, both softboxes now feature double diffusion, a reflector, a gel holder, a honeycomb grid and come in a handy bag.

The softbox is suitable for the Aputure LS 1200d Pro or LS 600x Pro or other lamps with Bowens mount. It can be used for all kinds of situations where a softer light is desired. Thanks to its 32-sided design, this softbox has a nice round shape that creates an attractive reflection in the eyes of your subject.

Aputure light dome 150. The Light Dome is 150cm wide and 80cm deep and weighs 3320g. The dome comes with a honeycomb grid and two diffusers.

There are numerous ways to customise the light output. For the softest light use the two front diffusers and the inner diffuser. If you want a little more power, remove one of the front diffusers. If it is not sharp enough, remove both diffusers.  

Any combination of diffusers can be used until the light is just right. The 31.5″ depth of the Light Dome allows for a steep drop that will give you the directional control needed for selective lighting when used with the included fabric grille. The natural looking lights will reflect in the subject's eyes and the included Bowens style speed ring will also accommodate lights from many other manufacturers that use this popular bracket.
