ARRI Alura 45-250mm T2.6 Rental - Hire. Was made in 2010 due to the fusion of ARRI with Fujinon in order to create a versatile studio zoom of high optical performance. The ARRI Alura 45-250mm T2.6 lens could be considered an exact copy of its Alura 18-80mm brother, only with a different focal length and its derivatives. Like its predecessor, it covers S35 sensors in negative and 2K in 16: 9 digital format, like 35mm academic sensors. It has a zoom ratio that exceeds 5.5x with a minimum focal length of 45mm and 250mm as maximum.
In 2010, a new zoom line was designed with Fujinon optical quality and the innovative ARRI techniques with the purpose of creating high optical performance focused on its use in television studios. Even so with sufficient features to be used in any type of production.
It contains a diaphragm with 9 leaves with the ability to maintain maximum T2.6 aperture throughout the whole focal range. It is designed with focus marks on both sides of the objective. The minimum focusing distance is 1.2m. The horizontal angle vision for 16: 9 at 2K format achieves 31.4º at 45mm and 5.8º at 250mm.
It provides images with high contrasts and good performance in terms of resolution. Besides, it has a multi-coat EBC implanted by Fujinon to make the lens more resistant for flares. This lens has been designed carefully in order to avoid aromatic aberrations. We are in front of a long focal distance and and minimum breathing zoom made to afford extreme situations on shooting and temperature, being versatile, few heavy with 7,4kg and easy to operate.
