ARRI Fujinon Alura 18-80mm T2.6 zoom lens rental. It was created for the purpose of being able to shoot both digitally and on film. It is designed with meticulous care giving it great optical performance packed into a lightweight, small and ergonomic zoom.

Sensor coverage depends on the type of recording. It is optimized to achieve 2K digital resolutions in 16: 9 format across the entire ALEXA range. It is also adapted to cover 4: 3 super 35 sensors of the DIN format. DIN was originally standardized as a motion picture industry standard to cover 24mm.

It was developed for 35mm, yet it was so small that it left a space between the perforation and the image area to record the LTC of the classic ARRIFLEX. In summary, the ARRI Alura 18-80mm zoom would cover for academic 35mm sensor a diameter of 27.20mm, for ALEXA / D-21 HD sensor a diameter of 27.26mm, for ALEXA 2K diameter of 29.08mm and in negative standard DIN S35 a diameter of 30.00mm.

It has a focal range of 4.4x that goes from a short angle focal length of 18mm to a long focal length of 80mm. It contains 9 diaphragm blades with an aperture that oscillates between its maximum T2.6 being constant throughout the focal range and T22, with its minimum aperture.

The distance between the first lens and the sensor does not vary much over the entire focal range. For 18mm the distance is 264.0mm, for 50mm it is 231.6mm and for 80mm it is 213.9mm. The minimum focus distance is 0.7m.

It provides high-resolution, high-contrast images. Thanks to the multi-layer EBC coating provided by Fujinon, it is resistant to flares and ghost images. Designed to reduce chromatic aberration from lens scattering. Breathing is minimal. Its maximum horizontal angle of view is 70.3º to 18mm and 18º to 80mm for ALEXA 2K standard format.
