HAZE

The Haze filter protects the lens and absorbs UV light. Both film and video sensors are more sensitive to ultraviolet light than our eyes. This often appears as a bluish cast in images, especially shots taken at high altitude and over long distances, and most particularly over water. The Haze filter reduces excessive blue by absorbing almost three-quarters of the UV light.
