RENT LEICA - LEITZ SUMMICRON-C

The Leica Summicron-C lens set was incorporated into the film market at the beginning of 2014. They were presented in December 2013 at the NAB, creating great expectation. Its name incorporates the initial C of cinematographic design. Since they have been carefully manufactured with the, purpose of creating first-class lenses in construction and image quality. The Leica Summilux-C are lighter and smaller than their predecessors. Leica Summicron-c lenses have a stainless steel PL mount, which makes them compatible with the most used film cameras, including ARRI Alexa, RED Epic Dragon, Sony F5 and F55, and Canon C500 PL. They cover a wide circle of image, with a minimum diameter of 34.5 mm.

The Leica Summicron-C lens set features; 18mm, 25mm, 35mm, 50mm, 75mm and 100mm. The diaphragm has 8 blades whose maximum aperture is T2 with a minimum T22 and an iris rotation of 180º.It has a 300º focus ring, built so that the slightest jump does not exist, allowing a smooth, fluid and continuous rotation. The minimum focusing distance is 0.3m (18mm and 25mm) of 0.36m in the 35mm, 0.6m in the 50mm, 0.8m in the 75mm and 1m in the 100mm. The size is excessively small with 101mm in length and 95mm in front diameter. Its weight ranges between 1.3Kg.

The Leica Summicron-C lens set is composed of only spherical elements lacking aspherical crystals, inhibiting any deformation or aberration. These lenses have great optical quality, sharpness and contrast, and provide creamy textures, offering a great depth of field.
