RONFORD BAKER - THE COMPANY

• The company was founded in 1966 in the UK, the founders were Ron Ford who ran a film camera rental business and engineer Harry Baker. At the beginning the company was dedicated only to the maintenance of film cameras and accessories.

• They designed the first fluid head with variable levels of fluid damping ever made in the world, as until then fluid heads had only been turned on and off. From there they dedicated themselves to the development of technology for fluid heads, based on the fact that they have more resistance, which means that they have a longer useful life. Ultimately what they seek is a feeling of fluidity without effort.

• They are also dedicated to the design and manufacture of tripods and grip material.

• There is no information about the founders of the company, other than that Ron Ford ran a film camera rental business and Harry Baker was an engineer. Today, the Ronford-baker company is run by the same family as the founders.

RONFORD BAKER - CINEMA'S CONTRIBUTIONS

• The Ronford-Baker brand is dedicated to the manufacture of fluid heads, tripods, billet bazooka, sliders, spiders, rails, video accessories, transit cases... At the end of the 60's, fluid heads had only two functions, which were on and off, so Ronford-Baker designed and manufactured fluid heads with different levels of fluid damping.

Rental Fluid Head 7 MK IV

• This is a Ronford Baker brand head that is compatible with a wide range of motion picture cameras. It has an angle of rotation of the plan and tilt of 360º. The control and adjustment is carried out through three levers.

• The Ronford Baker brand Hi-Hat Mitchell has a load capacity of up to 110Kg. It has a support foot with a 5/8” tip, with a ball joint and a 100mm base. It helps us to put a Mitchell base tripod head on any flat surface.

• Ronford Baker Slider 72 inches, it has a 150mm Mitchell base, although we can also mount it with a 100mm base adapter. It can be applied both on camera tripods, drawers or lighting tripods. It is a high precision tool designed with high quality materials which gives it robustness and precision.

Rental Slider Ronford 48 inches

• It has a 150mm Mitchell base, although we can also mount it with a 100mm base adapter. It can be applied both on camera tripods, drawers or lighting tripods. It also works in low mode, being able to invert the fluid head and get planes at ground level.

• It has a 150mm Mitchell base, although we can also mount it with a 100mm base adapter. It can be applied both on camera tripods, drawers or lighting tripods. Its main feature is that it has soft-stop adjustable dampers.

• The Ronford-Baker heavy duty tall, are made from aluminium and carbon fibre and also have black textures enamelled in a kiln. They use a 100mm Mitchell mount but can also be fitted with a 150mm ball adapter. They weigh 10kg, have dimensions of 105cm x 30cm x 27.5cm and range in height from 45.7cm to 167.6cm.
