RENT MATTE BOX

• If you desire to have a fluid and more comfortable shooting for the camera crew, It is essential to choose a matte box that perfectly matches with the camera configuration allowing a fast lens change.

• Depending on the kind of lens, the front diameter, the support or even the camera configuration, it is more convenient to choose one type of matte box over another.

Lightweight Matte box Rental

• These matte boxes have a clip-on system. It helps to maintain the volume and a low weight. They are very useful for cranes and stabilizers.

• They use to come with security loops in the bottom and side keys to ensure the filters.

Matte box Studio rental 

• The new designs are ergonomic and ease to use, matching perfectly with all lenses. Among other developments, the new studio matte boxes have a robust tilting module to eliminate reflexes and a dual stage system.

Matte Box Stages size 

• 4 x 4” Stages for lenses with a frontal diameter up to 80 mm.

• 4 x 5,6” Stages  for lenses with a frontal diameter between 95 mm and 114 mm.

• 6 x 6” Stages for lenses with a frontal diameter of 136 and 143 mm.

Matte Box Mounting type

• 15mm rods - For lightweight camera configurations.

• 19mm rods - For studio camera configurations.

• Clip-On - For  camera stabilizer configurations.

• The vintage lenses aren't compatible with clip on lightweight matte boxes because many old lenses use a focus system that reach the front side of the lens. When the matte box pressures the lens, the focus ring is blocked. ( Zeiss Super Speed, Zeiss Std ó Cooke S2 / S3 Pstechnick )

ARRI MATTE BOX RENTAL

• The Arri german company have been producing probably the best matte boxes of the market.

Arri LMB-25 rental

• This lightweight Arri clip-on matte box can be set with two or three stages 4 x 4” or 4 x 5,6”. It has a dismountable casing through four captive screws, french flag and a 3/8” top mount for a Cinetape.

Arri LMB 4x5 rental

• It is probably the most versatile and lightweight matte box in the market. It has four 4 x 4” or 4 x 5,6” stages that also can be used for 138 mm circular filters. It comes with black hole for lenses between 62 and 143 mm, 3/8" top mount for a Cinetape, french flag, side flags with adjustable segments and swing-away up to 90º. It can be mounted on 15 and 19mm rods or with a clip-on support. Also, It has a tilting module up to 10º to eliminate unwanted reflexes.

Arri MB-14 rental

• Large format matte box that can be used with most of the lenses in the market. It has four 6 x 6” stages, an additional module with two 4 x 4” stages, french flag, side flags and swing-away up to 90º. Due to the large format, It has to be mounted on 19mm rods and it is not recommended for use with the camera on the shoulder.

Arri MB-18 rental

• The MB-18 Matte box is an alternative to MB-14 due to a smaller size. It can be set with two, three, or four stages for 4 x 4”, 4 x 5,6” or 4,5” circular filters. It has swing-away up to 90º, french flag, side flags and It can be mounted on 15 and 19mm bars.

Arri MB-19 rental

• This compact and lightweight matte box has two 4 x 5,6” stages in its basic configuration. A 4 x 5,6” filter and a circular 138mm filter can be added. It comes with swing-away up to 90º and It can be mounted on 15mm bars, 19mm bars or with a clip-on support for 16 and 35mm formats. It has french flag and side flags with adjustable segments.

Arri SMB-2 rental

• The Ari SMB-2 matte box has three 4 x 4” or 4 x 5,6” stages and It has been designed to use with most of the prime lenses and lightweight zooms. It comes with black hole for lenses between 62 and 143 mm, 3/8" top mount for a Cinetape, french flag, side flags with adjustable segments and swing away up to 90º.
