• After a long sleep, Panasonic surprised the film industry once again with the Varicam 35. The full range of VariCam cameras has been used in a wide variety of films, advertisements and TV. It has been recognized by its accurate reproduction of color and its appearance. Also, it provides adapted workflows for any kind of production.

• With the arrival of new camera versions, Panasonic is keeping the advantages of the traditional designs and improving color, latitude and workflow. They have incorporated the possibility of recording in two codecs. It also has internal chromatic gradation and adaptive modular design for many shooting situations.

• The VariCam 35 4K has a new MOS sensor with a super 35mm size, and records in two AVC-ULTRA video codecs. It is able to process many formats like 4K, UHD, 2H and HD. It is designed to use in films, advertisements, TV and 4K live events.

• The VariCam 35 cameras include the 4K camera module (AU-V35C1) and the recorder module (AU-VREC1), which can be interchanged with the new Panasonic 2/3 type camera module (AU-V23HS1).

• Allowing switching between 35 mm and 2/3 type camera heads. VariCam 35 uses Panasonic's new Super 35 mm MOS sensor that captures 4K images with 4096 x 2160 (17:9) resolution. The cameras, combined with AVC-ULTRA codecs for 4K recording, offer manageable 4K file sizes.  They feature a 14-step dynamic range, capturing high-contrast images with ease.

• The VariCam 35 will use Panasonic's new P2 express card for high frame rate and 4K recording.  The cameras are equipped with four memory card slots in total, two for P2 express cards and two for micro P2 cards.
