Which filming/film shooting locations does Mallorca balearic island offer?

The main regions the balearic island offers for filming/film shooting are: "Palma de Mallorca", "Manacor", "Inca", "Calvià" and "Llucmajor". Palma de Mallorca is the capital of the balearic island, and along with "Calvia", the main touristic destination of the island. "Palma’s" Cathedral is known for its huge Gothic style rosette window. 3km away from Mallorca,  the "Bellver" Castle is located. With a circular layout, it is one of the most representative monuments in the balearic island.

In "Manacor", you can find some monuments with a special architectural interest. "Nuestra Senyora dels Dolors" Church, with a Neo Gothic style, has an 80m high tower. "San Vicente Ferrer" Church has a church organ and a Baroque style chapel. Furthermore, "Manacor" is known for its caves; specially the "Drach" caves, with a more than 1,7km long visiting route. These are great location options for your filming/film shooting. Located in the middle of the balearic island, "Inca" is famous for its footwear industry. The most representative monuments are "Santa María la Mayor" Church and the "Santo Domingo" convent. This town is also full of caves, and has a Jewish city quarter.

For a monument filming/film shooting, "Calvia" has a Church, two Chapels and one Castle. Its promenade is 32km long, and one of tourists' favorite places. "Bendinat" Castle is on the outskirts of the town. We also have the "Sierra de Tramontana", an impressive natural area with over 1400m high mountain peaks. Here you can also find the "Lluc" Monastery, a pilgrimage spot where the Virgin of "Lluc" (holy patron of Mallorca) is located.

CLIMATE IN THE BALEARIC ISLAND

Mallorca has a mediterranean climate, the average annual temperature is 17ºC. In summer, the maximum temperatures are around 30ºC and in winter the minimum temperatures are rarely below 5ºC. Humidity levels are high and rainfalls generally do not exceed 500mm per year, except in the "Sierra de Tramontana". This climate will make your filming/film shooting very easy.

By ferry, you can access to the balearic island from Barcelona, Valencia or Denia. The balearic island has a wide network of roads to facilitate transport throughout the island.
