The Sound Devices PIX240 monitor/recorder is a highly advanced video recorder that can record digital video signals from SDI or HDMI sources on a 2.5 ”internal unit or CompactFlash card. The Sound Devices PIX240 monitor/recorder can also record very high-quality audio simultaneously with the video in industry-standard QuickTime files. The Sound Devices PIX240 monitor/recorder compresses incoming video signals using the popular Apple ProRes or Avid DNxHD codecs of up to 12 bits, 4: 4: 4 sampling. Both codecs offer excellent video quality in a "ready to edit", which does not require transcoding to Import video The Sound Devices PIX240 monitor/recorder features both SDI and HDMI inputs and outputs.
