Recording Formats - Epic X rental - hire Camera. RED brings a new patented recording format to the film industry. This format is called R3D or REDCODE RAW, a default recording format in all current RED rental - hire cameras in the market. This format efficiently encodes the measurements of the MYSTERIUM-X sensor. It stores each color channel separately. In addition, it uses a variable bit rate "wavelet" in order to generate smaller files, making compressions without losing quality. Within the settings of the format, we can choose different compression factors in the RED EPIC-X rental/hire camera: ranging from a 3: 1 to 18: 1 compression.

Monitoring, Remote Control, and Audio - Epic X rental - hire Camera. The EPIC-X hire camera facilitates a large number of monitoring options. You can choose between different size touchscreen mini-monitors (RED Touch 5.0 "LCD, RED Touch PRO 7" LCD, RED Touch 7.0 "LCD, and RED Touch 9.0" LCD). Additionally, you have the option of comfortable viewfinders called BOMB EVF, which can be OLED or LCOS.
