Red Epic-W Gemini 5K rental - hire camera. The biggest Red innovation in this new Epic-W Gemini Super 35 new dual-mode sensor. The Epic-W Gemini 5k sensor has a dual-mode: one to work in standard conditions, and another to work in low light conditions: this one amplifies 2stops its dynamic range and has a 300pixel vertical resolution to get lower noise and detailed dark zones in filmed images. An 800 ISO image recorded in standard mode has the same noise a 3200 ISO image has in low light mode. The sensor mode can be changed in the camera's menu instantly. Epic-W, perfect for anamorphic lenses. The size of the Epic-W Gemini 5k rental - hire camera's sensor is 30.72mm x 18mm. Its 2K and 4K resolutions work much better with anamorphic lenses than other cameras (e.g. Helium or RED Dragon). Furthermore, its low light sensor mode allows closing the lens iris ring a bit more; it also communicates better with this kind of lenses, giving a faster iris ring response.
