RED V-RAPTOR 8K - HIRE - RENTAL
Red V-Raptor 8K rental - hire, with a dynamic range of over 17 stops and scan times 2 times faster than any previous RED camera, allowing users to capture up to 600 FPS at 2K. V-RAPTOR also supports RED's proprietary REDCODE RAW codec, allowing users to capture 16-bit RAW, taking advantage of RED's latest IPP2 workflow and color management.
Along with a new flagship sensor, the V-RAPTOR camera features a modernized platform in an incredibly compact package weighing just over 4 pounds. With 2 4K 12G-SDI outputs, XLR audio and phantom power through the adapter, and 1080p live streaming, this system can handle just about anything a shooter can throw at it.
New Red V-Raptor ST full-frame sensor. The new 35.4MP full-frame sensor is at the heart of the V-RAPTOR camera. It provides over 17 stops of dynamic range allowing it to excel in low light capture while offering the lowest noise floor in the RED line. And while the V-RAPTOR does not employ a global shutter, its rolling shutter with high-speed readout is nearly twice as fast as the MONSTRO's, and virtually eliminates motion artifacts. This new sensor also enables phase detection autofocus (PDAF), an advantage for individual operators taking fast or unpredictable actions. To accompany the new sensor, a new fixed OLPF (optical low-pass filter) allows you to capture RED's signature color quality and sensitivity.
Micro-V Compact Batteries - Red V-Raptor ST Camera. In keeping with the V-RAPTOR's smaller size, power is provided using RED-developed Micro-V mount batteries and Core SWX or RED-approved batteries from Anton Bauer, Bebob, FXlion, Hawk-Woods, IDX, and SWIT. At less than 3" wide, the 98Wh RED Micro-V batteries power the camera for approximately one hour, with one battery charging in approximately 2.5 hours and two in 4 hours with the dual charger. Full-size V-Mount and Gold- Mount adapters will also be available for users who already have a supply of these batteries or who want more autonomy.
Capture to CFexpress Card - Red V-Raptor ST Camera. Capture to CF-Express 2.0 Type-B cards will allow V-RAPTOR users to take advantage of more widely available media, although currently, only the RED / Angelbird 660GB card is RED approved. This 660GB card will soon be joined by a 1.3TB card version.
Wizard Interface - Red V-Raptor ST Camera. An LCD screen user interface on the right side offers control on the camera to the 1st and 2nd AC or an operator located on that side of the camera. Physical buttons eliminate accidental selections that can occur with touch screens, and the ability to save user pages allows you to customize the interface to your liking. The interface also usefully displays only the resolutions and frame rates available with the chosen format.
Inputs and Outputs - V-Raptor ST Network Camera. Dual 12G-SDI ports allow you to send mirrored signals to two displays, individual signals with or without focus peaking, timecode, or other displays, or with two different appearances. A USB Type-C port outputs up to 1080p video for streaming or other uses.
High-speed and REDCODE options - Red V-Raptor ST Camera. When slow motion is your thing, the V-RAPTOR offers high-speed frame rate options, including 8K 17: 9 at 120 FPS, 6K S35 at 198 FPS, 4K 17: 9 at 240 FPS, and 2K 2.4: 1 at up to an incredible 600 FPS.
REDCODE Raw options have been simplified with HQ, MQ, and LQ selections that match the most popular options available on RED DSMC2 cameras. Because the 8K sensor captures such great detail, RED recommends trying MQ or even LQ for most uses, with HQ being ideal for F/X work. Data rates range from 180MB/s at LQ to 360MB/s at HQ, so you can plan your media needs accordingly.
The DSMC3 Line - V-Raptor ST Network Camera. The DSMC3 line features several improvements over DSMC2 but offers only limited compatibility with DSMC2 accessories. For example, the KOMODO Outrigger handle is compatible, but POGO connector compatibility is limited to components of the new V-RAPTOR version. An upgrade is a larger fan system with two inlet valves that provide better thermal heat exchange (TEC), allowing for a wide ambient temperature operating range.
DSMC3 Accessories - Red V-Raptor ST Camera. Upcoming V-RAPTOR accessories available separately include a 7.0" touchscreen monitor, a new expander module, a top plate, a top handle with extension, an Arca-Swiss compatible quick-release base plate system, side grips, cage-style side accessory arms, and a 5-pin dual XLR audio adapter.
