Zeiss Standard speed Prime rental/hire lenses: These spherical lenses have a lightweight and compact design; they offer excellent optical performance and low contrast images, so when used with high resolution camera sensors, the perfect balance is obtained. This set of rental/hire lenses has 12 primes to choose from to cover any film shooting need: from a 14mm wide angle lens to a 180mm telephoto.

The Zeiss 2.1 Standard speed rental/hire lenses were launched in 1983, the same year the Super Speed ​​T1.3 rental/hire lenses were made. These Zeiss House lenses were specially designed for ARRI's manufacturers (who's name was 'ArriFlex' at that time), to fit their 35mm cameras.

The Zeiss Standard speed Prime rental/hire lenses offer low contrast images and have a very small size, which makes it difficult for the camera assistant to focus and attach peripheral accessories such as FF, iris control, etc...

These vintage Zeiss Standard speed prime lenses have a minimal anti-flare feature, so they tend to produce sparkles, creating halos over filmed light sources (which could occasionally disclose the image). When talking about image aberration, lenses 14mm and 16mm provide a little spherical deformation. 

Zeiss Standard speed Prime T2.1 rental/hire lenses have a similar performance in iris values above 2.8 than their older sister, the Zeiss Super Speed ​​MKII lenses. When used at maximum iris aperture (2.1), they do suffer a considerable loss of sharpness and contrast.

Both the 16mm and 32mm lenses in the Zeiss Standard prime T2.1 set, suffer from color deviations, which doesn't happen in the rest of the lenses from the kit.

The Zeiss Standard speed Prime T2.1 rental/hire lenses were designed to cover Super 35 sensors, but they can also be used with 4K cameras. When mounted on 4K cameras, some of the lenses suffer vignetting. They also work great with 2.8K cameras such as Amira Premium or Alexa Mini.
