ZEISS SUPREME PRIME T1.5 RENTAL

The environment of large format equipment is growing rapidly with cameras such as Alexa LF, Alexa Mini LF, Sony Venice or RED Monstro VV with 6K and 8K sensors. This is the case of the German manufacturer Zeiss, which offers a 46.2 mm image circle with its ZEISS PRIME SUPREME optic set, they are high-end lenses developed and built for large format sensors. With a constant aperture of T1.5 that allows a smooth fall of focus, it stands out mainly for its ergonomics, quality and reliability.

The Zeiss Supreme Prime lenses have a front diameter on all 95 mm lenses, the position of the iris rings facilitates the quick and easy change of the equipment, thanks to its compact and lightweight design that provides a more comfortable handling.

In addition, consistency is one of the key elements offered by the Supreme Prime lenses: that means consistent coverage, faithful color reproduction, aperture, size, weight and ergonomics. All the lenses of the family cover the full frame format and even larger sensors, with an image circle of 46.2 mm. Supreme Prime lenses are color matched throughout the range and most have a T-stop 1.5.

Another of the qualities of the Zeiss Supreme Prime lenses is the work with skins: "They have a much softer definition for the skins, creamier, and have a transition of aesthetic focus." The shift from focus to blur is much more gradual: "The focus puller who have tried them say that in them there is 'much more love' when they reach the focus." An elegant bokeh is also distinguished.

Preventing new forms of recording focused on working with a camera in hand and the massive use of gimbals and other forms of support, we sought to make ergonomic optics with a compact design of 95 mm. A front diameter for the lenses of 21 to 100 mm and 114 mm for 15 mm, 18 mm, 135 mm, 150 mm and 200 mm lenses. The weight is less than 1.6 kg in all the focal points between 21 mm and 100 mm.

Zeiss Supreme Prime lenses feature a consistent position of focus and iris rings in all optics, a smooth focus and uniform iris torque in all lenses.

The ultra-soft focus rotation of the Supreme Prime lenses, even in extreme temperatures, allows small engines to ensure that you have an easy setup that is pleasant to work with.

In addition, the Extended Data technology by which each focal point has a factory-calibrated data set, has plugins for Nuke, DaVinci and After Effects to read the information in these software programs, something that saves a lot of time in the post-production room. The technology is scalable and is already part of the Cooke / i protocol.

Zeiss Supreme Primes lenses represent the commitment of Zeiss to the range of lenses for cameras with full-frame sensors, with manufacturing and launching completely independent of ARRI.

Efficiency and reliability throughout the production

The exclusive ZEISS extended data technology allows you to transmit critical lens data for more specialized VFX recordings (Special Effects / 3D ...). The video saves the information of focal length, focus distance, T-stops and depth of field, allows the camera assistant to work more accurately and makes DIT work easier.

Made in Germany, used and maintained around the world

ZEISS Supreme Prime Cinematography lenses are designed and manufactured at the ZEISS headquarters in Oberkochen, Germany.

The lenses are assembled manually, and the scales are recorded with an individual calibration.

FULL FRAME LENSES - ZEISS SUPREME PRIME T1.5

It is not the first time that Zeiss has opted for full frame coverage. Zeiss CP2, CP3 and CZ optics are proof of this. This is one of the reasons why the compatibility between these Zeiss lenses is not an inconvenience.

The Zeiss Supreme Prime 1.5 offers a transition between areas in focus and unfocused areas rich in texture with depth in image. In addition, its soft sharpness can be seen in the realistic and organic aspect that stands out in skin tones.

Zeiss has added to the set of lenses the Zeiss Extended Data Technology system that offers the technical team vital information in real time, on the adjustment of the lens, the hyper-focal distance, the focusing distance, the serial number, the aperture and the Depth of field owner data and type of objective.

The lightness and size makes the Zeiss Supreme Prime 1.5 spherical lens set the recommended option in cranes and stabilized systems. In turn, the softness of the focus ring does not require large wireless focus motors with power.

In short, with the appearance of cameras that record in full frame (such as the Sony Venice), the Zeiss Supreme Prime are highly competent in shooting.
